How about you try your hand in some original comedy next time. And get an RA for breaking Music Board rules?

This is a great tribute and a great band.

We can talk about if you'd like.

I was an early Coldplay fan. They lost me with X and Y. I knew then they were going for big; U2 big.

ETA: I don't hold that against them. That's what they wanted. That's not why I originally drew me to them.

Grow up.

I love Parachutes, but care nothing for their new stuff. Chris Martin is also one of the biggest tools in music.

That was cool of Coldplay to to do. I honestly got a little choked up. I still get choked up each day when I think about MCA. :(

A Rush of Blood.. was one of my favorite albums of last decade. I hadn't listened to it much in recent years but I watched their Live 2003 DVD last week and was surprised at how much I still like most of those songs. I really hated X&Y when it came out but I might give it a shot to redeem itself.

Anyway, touching on something from earlier in the thread, I always think twice about people who have to prove their manhood by listening to only the manly man bands. The court is now in session.

shite, I thought Viva La Vida was awesome.

People who says dumb shite like "how can any heterosexual male listen to Coldplay" strike me as absolutely complete douchebags.

I didn't not like viva la vida. There are some great songs on there too. I guess when they played that song every 5 minutes on the radio I got annoyed..

True. But Coldplay gets a bad rap because of 40 Year Old Virgin, basically. It's now "gay" to listen to Coldplay. Never understood the hate there. Nor the hate for John Mayer after his first couple albums. He's not my cup of tea, but you cant deny he is a helluva musician

Viva la Vida was their best work IMO. Too bad it was tainted by several artists claiming that Coldplay stole their songs.
