From that article:

In 1998, LB Doug Miller was struck by lightning while camping in Colorado. CPR was being performed on Miller when he was struck again by a second bolt.

Thomas Hearns seems fine to me he retired at the right time.

Really? He sounds like he's been hit in the head one too many times. Just watch this interview. He sounds barely coherent. LINK

Thanks for the link. Damnation, I bet the surviving teammates are more than a little wigged out.

Pretty sure Junior was a cannibal, but I still loved him as a player. Gonna rock his jersey this summer in memory RIP

It doesn't matter one bit that he was a public figure and no one knows him personally. He was a great player and a good person as far as I know, and his death should be mourned and not made into a shitty joke.

no one has said that it isn't tragic. I'm not going to mourn over someone that I don't know at all.

Who is the shitty joke hurting? Almost every funeral I've been to has shitty jokes

Yet another ex-football player suicide, so funny I forgot to laugh

the suicide isn't funny, the jokes about the suicide are funny

The suicide rates for people who were once rich and famous and no longer are is pretty high as well. Also, the life expectancy of 250-300 lb men is below the national average as well. So is the life expectancy of lower class black males, which is where a lot of these men come from.

Not saying football causes no harm, but it is overblown.

It's confirmed, it's been a suicide. It's very unfortunate. He did some very good things, he just lost his way in life

wow ESPN finally reporting "a shooting" at Seau's home.

What a bunch of wimps, they're only reporting what the AP wire says.

Why the frick is the Bounty Scandal still up on ESPN's front page? There should be a big picture of Seau with the numbers 1969-2012 scrolled across the bottom.

That's the only one that really is unusual. The rest are ordinary horrible things that happen to people that don't take care of themselves, do thing they shouldn't do (drugs/drink and drive) or are just int he wrong place at the wrong time (plane crash).
