I totally forgot that he played for the Dolphins.
Looks like ESPN did too because all of his highlights they keep showing are either in a Chargers uniform or a Patriots uniform.

He did play in Superbowls with the Chargers and Pats. I don't think much came of his run with Miami. Probably not a whole lot of highlights.

This is true.

Seau was a BEAST. If I was starting a team... HE would be on it.

So, does post concussive trauma cause the other 30,000 or more suicides each year? Or, is it possible that someone whose entire life and sense of self worth was based on their playing football might have difficulty finding meaning once the game and spotlight pass them by?

This will turn into a circus thanks to the alarmists and their "studies" that will thrust them into the public eye.

They need to stop replaying it. It really is just a mother pouring out her emotions and I think ESPN is just exploiting it.

I can't imagine what it would be like to be a parent and get that call.

AGREED. Thats exactly what they are doing. VERY SAD what ESPN is doing. They THINK people want to keep seeing it. I guess they think that most people in the country have NOT seen it yet. ESPN has gone to a NEW low today with this. they should be ashamed.

A parent should never have to bury a child.

Just saw the Wiley interview. Heartbreaking is the only word I can find.

Unfortunately, parents do bury children. And yes, I speak from experience.

Nice rant genius. Ever hear of famous baseball or basketball players doing this?

Seau had more issues and they were going on for a while. Encephalopathy will be blamed but you will never know. Terrible all the way around. Dude had to have problems. The wreck a couple years ago. The fact that he was such a stud and beloved and NEVER saw him with a job on TV. Why was he never on NFL network or ESPN guy?? Coach??

Just a damn shame.
