What level of legal are y'all suggesting.
Like anyone can go to Walgreens and get some on aisle 4 kinda legal or the kinda legal where you would have to get a prescription.
If you still have to get a prescription then there will still be a black market for it and the crime that goes along with it.

I think marijuana should be on the level cigarettes are honestly, and weed isn't even as harmful.

its fine with me if poor kids wanna get weeded up, as long as the OD and die rather than get on welfare like most dope smokers do

The economic impact of legalizing marijuana is something that never gets figured into this conversation. It is currently every state's #1 cash crop. Legalization would drop the price as the supply increases. You could potentially have another crop like corn where the gov't pays people to not produce too much to keep the price from bottoming out.

I know people who smoke and don't particularly care that they do. However if it was legalized and made similar to cigarettes, I know bars where it was being smoke a lot would lose my business. I can barely tolerate tobacco smoke, but frickin weed is horrible to me.
