No, because we are Louisiana State University. Fact is, a lot of people do not even know what LSU stands for.

I love being called Louisiana State University since it is actually the name of the university. I respect everyone's opinions but this is confusing to me how this could actually aggravate some Tiger fans. Do you also get aggravated when we are called the Fighting Tigers?

It would be nice to have one identity rather than 2 as many in the country might not recognize LA State as being LSU. I would think everyone at least in the sports world has heard of LSU. All our chants, cheers & almost all the broadcasters refer to us as LSU.
