the Zep thread made me think of old shows. Anyone at this one? I got the date from google but don't remember the venue (somewhat incapacitated). I ask cuz there were at least two show stoppages from someone cutting wires. They ended up elevating them off the floor and shining a spotlight down it. Considering the circumstances it seemed almost surreal.
THIS was their hit at the time
Lead singer/bassist Glenn Hughes then went on to front Deep Purple for a while. These days he has been playing in Black Country Communion with Joe Bonamassa & Jason Bonham. They're worth a listen. A great alltime rock singer with blues/funk inflection.

It was prolly at the old Independence Hall, which was behind the State Capitol between Capitol Lake and the River. Hendrix, Joplin, etc all played there early 70's.
This was also the place where Dixie Wrestling was hosted. Cowboy Bill Watts, Grizzly Smith, Dr. X, etc........

saw them at the Warehouse, around the same time, but they weren't the main act. didn't know them before then.
Saw James Gang and Cat Stevens at Independence Hall. sold my books for the James Gang ticket.

I think this was their biggest hit!!!!
Trapeze - You Are The Music... We're Just The Band
LINK
I do own the Medusa cd also, Glenn Hughes is always left out of great bass player debates for some reason....
I wish to have been there!!!!

I saw Trapeze in N.O. at an all day festival back in the mid 70's, can't remember all the acts that day, but I want to guess Johnny Winter and Bob Seeger were also on the bill...
