What mechanic y'all use for hitting? I was always a fan of the zone hitting where you move the yellow oval to the pitch location. That shite got hard as hell over the last two seasons, so I decided to go with strictly timing yesterday.

I do the stride, but let the yellow oval stay in place. I tried doing both, but my mind can't move both sticks, in the correct time, plus recognize the type of pitch throw along with whether it's a ball/strike and if i should swing or not

I use the yellow oval (the default I guess). I hate the joystick only aspect of hitting/fielding. I can't check swings with the joystick nearly as well as I can with a button, and I check swing a lot since my recognition isn't there, lol. I like the oval because I can guess my low fastball and if it's not that, just slide the oval to the top half of the strike zone and wait.
