i did get to fly to Roswell, NM last week 
airport looked like an American Airlines graveyard, or a latino airplane enthusiats' front yard, with all the parted out planes

ATL may have its deficiencies in terms of food/things to do, but if you have a tight connection it is almost no problem to make.
As for originating at ATL, it all depends on time of day. If you are at peak business travel time, security can be a nightmare. Make use of online/mobile check-in.
Also, try the security checkpoint at the North Terminal. Can sometimes be shorter lines than the main checkpoint.

do you go to a lot of smaller cities? I pretty much hit up every kind of city imaginable. I've been to some absolute shite holes while at this job
South Texas.....never again.

Very close second is St. Thomas...mainly because there's free rum when you land.

On the other end of the spectrum, Schiphol airport is hands down the best airport on the planet.

I always find DFW to be the worse when it comes to delays and cancellations. I fly through IAH and ATL weekly and never have problems with either. I fly through DFW maybe 6-8 times a year and ALWAYS have issues.
When I go to NY, I avoid JFK and Laguardia like the plague. I fly in to White Plains and take the metro into Grand Central station.
Also BWI is the worst airport in the nation. No contest.

To all in this thread... at you, I'm an OT balla , my Falcon 50 takes off when I'm good and damn ready , and even if we are delayed, I'll simply request that my OT 8 stewardess take her clothes off.
Seriously though, I like flying from small commercial airports (BTR, LFT, HDN, ASE, FMN, FSM)

Huge truth. And KLM is a great airline. AMS is a breeze for originating/terminating and also for transiting if you are coming over the water on Delta or KLM.

Still ASA planes and people though. I think it will get a lot better.
