If they get Voodoo Im going to fap all day I thought the name for the AFL team was badass when it first came out. Swtich the name of the AFL team to the mudbugs or rhythm and put VooDoo to the Bball team. Make it happen Loomis!

NOLA Angels? Anyone like that one? I was trying to play off the saints and thought the two went well together. NOLA Angels in black and gold uniforms might work.
If not I like NOLA brass as well. I don't dislike Voodoo I just feel like they would screw it up. IMO the arena league's color scheme and mascot for the voodoo are ugly as hell.

I personally like the current scheme with the bluer Creole Blue and yellow. It is very unique to the franchise and will sell for that reason alone.

Yeah I didn't think about that. I don't mind if the colors stay but you would think if we rebranded Charlotte would want the Hornets name back colors and all.

Voodoo is the name we need. I wonder if we can kick the AFL out of New Orleans. Not only does the team suck beyond hope but no one gives a shite about Arena football.

I agree. If we could get the Jazz back I'm all for a change, but its safe to assume that won't happen. I don't like Krewe, pelicans, or brass. Voodoo is alright but I still would prefer the Hornets over that. I also don't really like the idea of changing the colors to black and gold. Those are the Saints colors and should remain as ONLY the Saints colors down here.

1. Jazz
2. Voodoo - With new color scheme logo. Love the name, hate the red, purple, black crap.
3. Pelicans - I agree it's more baseball sounding but the NBA has the Hawks, so it's not the first time a bird name is with an NBA team.
4. Breakers - Love the color scheme.
5. Brass
6. Krewe
Why would anyone want to keep Hornets. The best team names are always local or have a regional tie-in. Just look at the best and worst NBA names. The worst imo are those that were from teams that moved or were made based on trends at the time (Raptors).

jazz would be my 1st choice but i know that wont happen. i can't get on board with pelican it just sounds so non threatening its almost like being called the new orleans koala bears. Brass is the only other one i could deal with its not great but better than anything else i've heard except jazz. As for krewe i just dont think it makes any sense for it to work krewe of new orleans would have to be the name but that just sounds retarded to me and would never work

I generally agree with you, but not on the Lakers. At the time it was probably funky, but the "Los Angeles Lakers" have become so iconic that it would be almost heretical for them to change now. I also don't think "Oklahoma City Thunder" is too bad.
I'm still partial to the New Orleans Rhythm.
