So if Liverpool finish basically mid table, and lose the final is Daglish safe? Or does he have to get this double to be safe?

Thank god I'm not the manager. I wanted Carroll off for Bellamy. Same deal as Blackburn earlier in the week. Struggles all game then one header erases everything.

he did look like doodie until the 80th.

who knows, someone helping Suarez could have resulted in more chances. Bellamy was involved in 2 chances in the little time he was out there for.

I thought he looked fine, he's never going to be pretty but he does the dirty work...

His finishing was off the mark, could have easily had two other goals...

Anyway, we're in the Finals and we'll have Pepe back! Get in!!!!!

If being honest, I might have... perhaps maybe... thought Suarez was going to bottle that one on one with Mr. Howard...

I'm sure half the channel heard me yelling when it went in!

Good win for pool.

Brad Jones had a cake walk in the semis. Credit the backline (sans the one lapse that Casillas couldnt have saved) and the lack of Everton attack. Pool got another ugly win but hey that's all you need. Carroll shows up on free kicks in the 6 yard box that's it. He shite the bed a couple of times to put the game to bed earlier. Liverpool earned their place in the semis. Now Chelsea need to put their annoying north London neighbors out with the trash tomorrow. I want a Chelsea v Liverpool final so I can head to Finns for an epic FA cup final. Bleed, Xavier and Beast know they want Chelsea in the final!

It could easily be Tottenham. I am worried about which priorities Roberto and Chelsea will take with Barca midweek and Arsenal next weekend. Those aren't excuses we need to beat Tottenham tomorrow no matter which squad we field.

Make sure you're only three yards away or else he will miss.

He missed from 3 yards out today. There's no such thing as a "sitter" for Andy Carroll.

I posted this in the Liverpool thread, but it's good enough to post twice...

what's the difference between Liverpool and New Orleans?

You can still hear the blues in New Orleans

that was so fricking awesome this morning

Didn't think Carroll was bad today at all outside of his misses. He held up the ball really well and actually looked like he was working his arse off. Glad he got the winner. Hopefully a huge week for his confidence going forward.

2nd half was just fun to watch period.

Feel terrible for Distin though. Don't like seeing games won and lost on terrible frick ups but better him than one of our guys.
