Who said they were infallible? Saying they are way smarter on draft prospects than message board posters does not = infallible. All the guy i responded to is doing is using 20/20 hindsight. Of course there are busts every year and there are lots of reasons for someone to bust. In the case of Leaf, its not cause he was lacking in skill. You can't judge decisions like that after the fact.

I like Menzie as a 2/3 round guy.

This is a pretty idiotic comparison the 2 are not remotely related. If you guys want to have a discussion, lets discuss, if all you want to do is brag about 1/9/12 go back to the SEC Rant

Roman Harper wasn't nearly as highly regarded at Barron is and I'd bet good money his NFL career doesn't come close to Harpers.

Roman Harper has a ring, it's hard to compare him to a guy who's never played an NFL snap.

And as far st NFL guys' predictions, of course they get many wrong but I still trust their insight over anyone on a message board.

I can assure you my evaluation has nothing to do with him being from Bama. I'm looking at this purely through a Dallas Cowboys life long fan perspective. I don't care which college you come from if you are good. I would take Hightower or Kirkpatrick or Trent Richardson in a heartbeat. I do not want Barron anywhere near my team.

He was a stud, unless they did a mental exam on him. I have nothing against Barron. I wouldn't want my team to take him in the first round though. Not with his injury history.

That's cool with me. I think he was a very consistent guy who made plays when there was lesser talent around him, as in he stood up to the plate, and he continued to do that throughout his career but he was overshadowed at times.

I can only remember 2 times in his career when I wasn't happy with his play, Auburn 2010 (didn't know he was injured), and his freshman year against Utah.

The pros would run circles around you and everyone else on these boards. Sure, they might miss on a guy some fan thought would be good or over rated a guy fans of the opposing college said was over rated, but then again a broke clock is right twice a day.

NFL pros would run circles around us.

I'm still not convinced about NBA GMs though.

I'm a Michael Brockers fan, but I think top 10 is too early for him.

I know he dropped quite a bit lately in the mocks and I think 20's is about right for him. I see him being a solid starter, but not quite top 10 worthy.

I think you either meant Upshaw instead of Hightower or forgot to include Upshaw. Upshaw is the rush OLB while Hightower is the ILB for a 3-4. Either of them would be fine with me and I have Upshaw and Kirkpatrick as my 2nd and 3rd choices behind Poe. Something keeps telling me that the numbers Poe put up at the Combine aren't a thing of luck and hopefully Rob Ryan can find it

Wouldn't the fact that he went way higher than even anticipated suggest that he is, in fact, the most overrated?

I think tonight showed the NFL thought Hightower was better than Upshaw.

Did he really go way higher than anticipated? I think it was pretty much assumed he wouldn't be around past 14 at latest.

Obviously, NFL scouts aren't infallible, but at least they have the real game film and can actually analyze his coverage skills. On here he's a liability in coverage because he got burned a few times over three years.

Mo Claiborne - dude needs to be on the watch list if he really said: 'who cares, I'm done with college and studying' after scoring a 4 on the Wonderlic.

Uh, the NFL's not a party. One wonders how hard he'll work or understands what he's expected to do/study/work - there's been some lazy-asses from the same pipeline.
