Houston Oilers during the Warren Moon era. Winning in the wild card round was as far as they ever made it.

Not their fault. They got fricked with the suspensions.

If you're talking about the Amare/Diaw suspensions for leaving the bench...that was in 2007...still makes me furious.

While we're at it, we might as well add the 1993 Suns that lost to Jordan and the Bulls in the finals. Hell, I'm sure there are several teams that unfortunately overlapped the Jordan Era that can easily make this list.

That Lakers team was so old it was a matter of time that they would run out of gas.

most of the franchises have been covered, how about specific teams: how about the mid-80s Rockets with Hakeem, Lucas, and Sampson?

Mid-90s Supersonics FTW!

If only Shawn Kemp could have kept it in his pants

What's crazy is that that's why they didn't win it in 2007.
In 2006, Amare was out practically the whole year and they had lost Joe Johnson to free agency. (I think.)
In 2005, they were going to win it all more than likely until Joe Johnson broke his eye socket in the playoffs.
And of course there was Amare's last year where they gave the future champion Lakers all they wanted in a great series.
Poor Nash, those Suns teams could not catch a fricking break. I'm only scratching the surface as to the bad luck/poor management that doomed that team from 2005 till now.

Yup...It's hard as hell being a Suns fan...and it's only going to get worse once Steve leaves this summer.

Another poster mentioned them earlier:
The Braves of the '90s early 2000s.
14 or 15 playoff appearances.
5 trips to the World Series.
1 World Series Championship.
They may very well have won it the year of the strike, but still. Only winning 1 with that much pitching and overall talent is a head-scratcher.

SuperSonics of the 1990s. They had some very good teams with Gary Payton and Shawn "Reign Man" Kemp leading the way.
In 1993 they lost to PHX in 7 games. (In Game 7 PHX shot 64 FTs)
In 1994 there was the infamous first round loss to the Nuggets
And 1996 where they lost to the Bulls in 6. The series were it took George Karl 3 games to realize , "Geez maybe I should put Payton on Jordan?"
Surprising this team never took home a title.
