Well what do you want him to say, that he is average and Ravens would win a Super Bowl if he was better? I prefer some confidence

You tards are no good at context. WTF else is he--or Eli or anybody else--supposed to say

He is supposed to give some BS PR answer to the effect that he is always working to be better and no matter how good he gets he knows there will still be room for improvement blah blah blah...

For Rodgers/Brees/Peyton/Brady to proclaim they are the best would sound arrogant. For Joe Flacco to say it...

You have to draw the line somewhere. It would be one thing if he said he was elite, which he isn't, but to say that he is the best QB in the league would be like Jameer Nelson saying he's the best PG in the league. Actually its worse than that.

Did you actually read the quote? He says everybody probably feels the exact same way as him. Like they should. This is such a nothing story and you girls getting your panties all in a bunch about it is hilarious.

No one is really getting upset, just calling it like they see it. Flacco says he is the best QB in the NFL, which is not true, so we laugh at his statement.

I don't see this being any different than a slightly better than average looking girl feeling like they're prettier than every other girl.

I think the media has gotten to him at times.

Although, as a competitor, what would you expect him to say?

If you think Joe Flacco deep down thinks he is actually the best QB in the NFL you are fricking retarded. What he is is too competitive to concede that to one of his peers. Dudes that reach that level of success don't think like that. Ego is too big.

This.

Context, people.

In context, he's saying that's his attitude and he has to have that attitude to be successful.

It's actually refreshing to hear an athlete NOT give the boring PC answer.

I hate that.

True but another & more accurate Non-PC answer would've been to say who he actually thinks is the Best QB in the League. And if he truly believes that it is him, it might be time for a brain scan.

Knew this garbage was coming. You say "I want to be the best" or "im working hard to bethe best I can be and i believe that i can be the best" or something like this. If you are great, you dont need to say it; who are you trying to convince? Please find me a quote like this from Brady, Manning, or Brees before they were successful and itll make more sense but they never do. It comes off straight ignorant to say this when youre in a league with Brees/Manning/Brady that have 5 rings/6 MVPs/4 SB MVPs between them. What has flacco done in the league besides be incredibly average?

Umm, petty pete, you left out the best QB in the League.
