Yeah I'm not too high on MKG either. Simply being more athletic than your opponents doesn't translate to the NBA and he has no jumper.

I can't believe Aminu led the ACC in rebounding

Perfect example of why I prefer players with actual skill as opposed to insane athleticism.

I agree, i've been saying it for months so it feels like im piling on. And its not even like MKG is a freak athlete.

He just plays SO HARD. He's the type of guy every team wants. But i wouldnt want him in the top 5. A team that already has talent, that needs a hustle/energy guy could definitely use him though.
His attitude and intangibles keeps me from putting him in the Aminu, JuJu category though. MKG is gonna give everything he has to whatever team he has goes to. He'll be easier to cheer for than a guy like JuJu

I'm not an MKG fan either, he needs a lot of work on his Offensive game/jumpshot. His biggest asset though is how hard a worker he is.

MKG college stats:
FG%-3P% FT%-REB AST-BLK-STL-PF-TO-PTS
.486--.260--.755---7.6---1.9--0.9--1.0--2.4-2.2-12.0

JuJu college stats:
FG%-3P%-FT%-REB-AST-BLK-STL-PF-TO-PTS
.549--.231--.613---7.8---2.2--1.3--1.4--2.5-2.4-12.0

ETA: These are both regular season numbers. MKG got hot in the tournament but the numbers don't like. Do not want.

MKG is noted for his work ethic though something Julian would never have been accused of here.

You want two power forwards? Or are you one of the people that think Davis can be a center?

He's probably just of the opinion that in the NBA draft, you get the best players with not a lot of regard for need.

Yea but getting the top two power forwards just seems like a bit much.
Especially considering we have Ayon. I'm all for BPA but I don't see this working

Kind of unfair to compare Wright's sophomore stats to MKG's freshman. MKG's freshman numbers also blow away his other comparisons- Wallace and Iguodala.

MKG is the most efficient transition scorer in the country and is a great offensive rebounder, two things that will translate well to the NBA. His biggest weakness (jump shot) is a lot easier to improve than things like driving to the basket, defense, rebounding, etc. Especially with his work ethic. If he ends up being a 15 ppg guy then he's an all-star with his defense and rebounding.

Even with his fading value, if you get Davis first, then I'd go Barnes with the 3rd. He is the most skilled, polished scorer in the draft. He will be averaging 20+ ppg within the next few seasons. He will make a great compliment to Gordon or even a primary if the team goes a different direction.

I would take both Davis and Robinson if we had the chance. PF is definitely our biggest need right now, and even if Davis never spends time at C (I really believe he can at least play the 5 against the typically smaller backup Cs), I like a little protection in the unlikely event that one of them is a huge bust. If they both turn out, there's nothing wrong with that. The Lakers were beasts with Bynum/Gasol/Odom moving around, so I'd be down with a potential upper middle class version of that with those two and either Kaman or Okafor. And, again, over the next year or two, Davis could end up adding quite a bit of muscle.
