Putting a 30lb Minn Kota trolling motor on my yak. Any suggestions on a marine battery and where to buy in BR? TIA.

This. But any deep cycle would work. We never managed to drain a deep cycle fishing all day with a 35lb or 45lb trolling motor, and that's on a 16' boat. Rain it dead when we used a car battery a few times, but not the deep cycle.

Interstate = good stuff.
Cabelas AGM = really bad stuff.

FWIW we've run a 35 lb trolling motor and depth finder on a autozone car battery for 4 or 5 hours. It gets low, but still cranked up the motor.

Get the biggest you can afford amp wise.
I would not go any smaller than say a 900 amp battery
Have always used Interstates.

So the minn kota endura c2 30# is out of stock where I have checked and I need a trolling motor by noon tomorrow for a 2 day trip on Toledo. How does the Bass Pro Shops Prowler T30/30 Trolling Motor compare?

One Academy on Siegen.
I'll be checking more places at 8am but it has been on sale so they were out at the store and online (Academy & BPS). I'm heading to BPS when I wake up. When I get there should I go BPS or Minn Kota, and why? If they don't have the Minn Kota is it worth the wait or is the BPS just as good?

I'd go minn Kota, simply because they're solid trolling motors. Haven't heard anything good or bad about the BPS, but if you fish saltwater you know the Minn Kota will hold up to it. So why take the risk.
FWIW you can call them and they can see if it's in stock first. You can try Cabelas too, and the Airline Academy. Calling ahead will save you time and gas.
ETA: and you might be able to tell them to hold it til you get there, so you know it'll be there when you go. I did that with my .22 pistol at academy.

I know the Optimas are pretty expensive, but does anyone have any experience with them? I've heard only a few reviews and one of them wasn't positive.

With the addition of a trolling motor and a battery I assume weight of the battery should be a factor?

Buddy had a red top in a truck with a 10" sub and 500 watt amp, could play music for 3 or more hours around a bonfire and it always cranked right up. I think it died in like 4 years though.

Our deep cycle boat battery came from Sam's. Wasn't as expensive as other places. We buy all our golf cart batteries there too.

I always buy my deep cycles at walmart.
