In my church there is generally a set a time of individual prayer before communion to allow even believers to "purge" themselves before God.

I usually chalk up the practices and beliefs in all the various world's religions to "different strokes for different folks" but you guys are just flat out fricked up. You do realize the origins of the Catholic church were political, right? It had nothing to do with God or Jesus. Unless of course you think using God and Jesus to secure political power is right....oh wait.
Your church bases its entire existence on fiction. And I'm not even getting in to the existences or lack of existence in God. I'm talking about your doctrine. Catholic "doctrine" is so hypocritical it's pathetic.
I swear you people are as bad as the nut jobs in the middle east. Maybe he should have thrown acid on her face. Forget about the message of love, forgiveness, and grace, etc. let's cherry-pick a verse (that even you know Jesus didn't really say) and go with that.

As stated before, she knew her lifestyle put her in conflict with the church. Maybe that's wrong, maybe not. But either way, she was breaking the rules. Why should the priest have done the same?

That statement is one of the most ludicrous and insane statements made on this board. If politics were the root of Christianity and all it stands for, then why did Jesus tell Peter "Get behind me Satan" over the subject of declaring his riegn as King of Kings started way back when?

What this priest did is petty and dumb, but let's take a moment to appreciate our first-world problem of "I can't BELIEVE he didn't give her communion!" and not a real problem of "I can't BELIEVE he beheaded that many people!"

I believe that those that came to hear him preach, and were fed loaves and fishes, there was a state of grace granted unto them, as well as the twelve apostles at the Last Supper. Judas made the decision to become a traitor after that fact, as he finally got the message that Jesus was meant to be a sacrifice.

Hm.
Would that also be a sin (not doing unto others as you wish them to do to you), which would require him seeking confession prior to his getting (or giving) communion again?
If he didn't, then would that mean all of the communion he's given out since then is null?
