When we beat Arizona in 2000, that place was JUMPING.

Several other good ones come to mind...

2000 Tennessee (lost a close one)
2006 Florida
2008 (or 9) Xavier

And that's all in recent years. Interested in what the rant thinks...

ETA: Concerts don't count.

You will have to get in the "way-back machine" for these, but here they are:

1980 Kentucky
1986 Memphis State (NCAA Tourney)
1986 Purdue (NCAA Tourney)
1990 Loyola Marymount

You cannot overlook 1989 UNLV, the last second 3 pointer by Blanton to win it. I was student in the student section for that one and its gotta rank right up there. An awesome game.

1990 arizona & 1992 duke were the loudest i remember.

most packed was 1995 4A & 5A championship games. tara vs. glenn oaks then catholic vs. st. aug. 4 or 5 deep around the top ring and every portal was filled with people standing. they eventually had to stop letting people in.

My personal attendance best was the Phi Slama Jamma game against UH back in ~1983/1984.

I imagine that in "recent" history it would have to be the upset of Arizona or a win over UK.

Against Duke with Laettner, Hurley, Grant etc. It was unreal back then. We were camping on the ramps all week for that game.

Pretty much the only good crowd game in the past 5 years. Students actually had to sit in the nosebleeds for one.

2000 vs #1 Arizona was the best LSU basketball game I've been to in the PMAC. Place was insane.

There were a couple good ones that year, including Auburn and Kentucky.

It was a lady Tigers basketball game in the mid 90's when they upset #1 Tennessee. One of the better LSU basketball games I've seen.

I was a student at the time and rushed the court after; that was a great game and it was crazy loud in there; most games that year were awesome at home with Stro and Jabari Smith killing it; Smith had that nasty dunk fake behind his back and slam that game (Arizona)

another crazy loud crowd was when Shaq and Chris beat (once again Arizona) when they were #2 - the PMAC was awesome for that one

Loudest for me was vs Zona w/ Shaq. Dude did the cabbage patch after a break away dunk! There were some loud days with Baby, Tyrus, and the boys as well. shite, it was loud w/ Bright, Roland, Swift, and Jabari against Zona too!

December 1983 when Guy Lewis brought Phi Slamma Jamma to Baton Rouge. LSU lost that night, but Leonard Mitchell, giving up almost 6 inches, fouled Olajuwon out w/ 6 minutes left to go in the game.
