By no means are the orvis toughchew bets indestructable. Ut its the best we've had and our pup is a determined bed destroyer. He put a quarter sized hole in it within a week but it was so hard for him to get that one hole in it he gave up. The beds are 100+ but tbey replace it for free twice and give you your money back if he destroys it a third time.

We got our retriever a "chew-proof" toy once. Damn thing was so tough and dense, she broke wrought iron deck furniture tossing it around.

Chew proof ain't all it's cracked up to be.

There is no suck thing. Hoss can destroy anything. He's separated a football into it's basic components in 40 seconds. True story. We timed it.

Apparently I'm not on the back channel list either... And to who ever asked about the coolero cot, he ate 2 or 3 already.

Ding

I had typed out a whole spill but bottom line is work your dog and he will settle down. If you dont have the time to work you dog you should have considered this before getting him. I also would suggest reading Ceasar Milan's book "Be The Pack Leader".

Not entirely true. Mine gets worked into the ground during huntin season but he'll still turn a matress into a terydactyl nest on the porch of the camp if you let him. Some dogs just like to tear shite up.

I have a buddy that was having trouble with these issues. He started coming home and letting the dog air out then hopping on his golf cart and letting the dog chase. After a few days of a two mile daily run the dog settled down. He started doing it before work then again in the evenings. He does a mile+/- in the morning and then another run in the evening. Now the dog starts running circles around the cart in excitement wanting to take his daily run.

Dog in question is a big running high bred black lab. He added that training sessions are much easier after the dog has "aired" out the piss and vinegar.

I agree with this to an extent. It does help calm down the dog but people have to work and the dog has to stay somewhere. He may be suffering from seperation anxiety and tearing things up out of frustration. Exercise will help but once he's calmed down from the exercise he's still going to get bored and frustrated that you have him locked in a kennel. I think organic bedding material may be your best bet since it is loose and easily raked back into position.
