How much crawfish (per trap) should you expect?

I'm talking about the pillow traps or pyramid traps. If you leave them over night with some shad or old fish for bait, how much is average per trap?

This time of year:
15-25 - average
1/2 -3/4 lb - really good (you're gonna be rich)
5-10 - not too surprising (it's still a little early)
My dad fishes in a field pond and they haven't started full blown fishing yet, which tells me they aren't catching much in test traps. Also, I saw boiled crawfish at Rouse's for 4.99 lb, which also tells me they are scarce right now.

buy a bag or two of crawfish bait, works better than anything else you could use.

Artficial baits do not work as well in cool weather. Use fish until the weather warms up and stays into the 80's

Don't know if it's preception or reality, but artificial bait use seems to lead to smaller crawfish after a little while, like maybe you fish out the mature crawfish too soon with it.
I remember it being used at a certain time when it could be used to pace out the rest of the season.

This is correct, you aren't going to catch anything right now with artificial bait
