I made a thread a while back but no one had been yet. I posted some tasty pictures though. Let me look..

I even posted in that thread.
The name didn't stick with me.
Looks like it just recently opened.

I haven't been back since my post in the other thread, but rumor has it that they are no longer losing people's orders so progress is being made.
I don't believe the manager ever followed up with our party after the disaster of a lunch we had there which is somewhat disappointing.

That's a shame because it really does look interesting. I hope they've worked out the kinks and learned some customer service.

I don't know if you guys feel this way, but I don't hold a mess up early on when the kinks are being worked out against a place. I don't even expect to be compensated. My only problem comes from the promising to make it right and then never following through. I would have been ok with no response. The promise of a response with no action, to me, is the worst.

$9-10 for a panini at lunch seems pricey to me. If it is large, I'd be ok with it though.

The panini is standard fare. So it is a bit pricey.

Not good PR for sure.

From the view of thier establishments interior in the pic major style points for ambiance. The menu seems to make you want to enter the kitchen and smell. One item on the dinner menu says "Eat me, eat me,BTW did I say eat me" Carpaccio is the bomb.

Nope. And it hadn't opened yet when I posted that thread.

Might head that way for lunch today. Thanks for reminding me it's open.

Panini is the plural form of panino.. so it literally means "sandwiches"
I don't think I've ever ordered one, but if I do, I'm going to ask them where the other is.

Just finished up with lunch. Not too bad. I got the Salmon Basilica. It's two small salmon sandwiches with a tomato/caper topping and a side of orzo. It came in just under $12. I can't speak on waiter service as I got takeout, but the takeout service was fine. The restaurant was packed. I'd eat there again. Nice change of pace from all the other places I've eaten at downtown a few 100 times.

Is the salmon what looks sort of like a fried egg? It looks strange to me. Does it have a coating?
I like that they packed the orzo separately so it wasn't bouncing around on the sandwiches. I have pet peeves about the way some places pack go orders, but then, I don't really like most of my foods to be touching unless I arranged it that way myself. Some things just don't need to be running into other things, like my salad dressing running on into my meat entree. I'm picky that way.

It had some sort of mayo based sauce on it.

I'm with you Gris, salmon looks odd. And quite overcooked.
