I'm just frustrated that I have to wait this long to read it. It shouldn't be this hard to order a book.

mangastorm app.

Don't get me wrong, I think you should still buy the volumes, but if you can't wait, there's a solution. You may have to deal with some of the bad earlier fan translations.

I ordered it from Amazon, and they never shipped it, so I canceled the order. Now I ordered from some half.com retailer based off of eBay, and I think he might be a scam seller. I should be able to force a refund because it's through half, but I have to wait until he's officially outside of his shipping time limits to file the claim.

Berserk volumes have always been printed weird. From what I understand, Dark Horse will print a batch and not do any more until they are running really low. I remember some volumes being hard to find before the last 3 movies came out, then right after you could find any of them pretty easily. Maybe with the new anime, there will be more people buying up volumes and Dark Horse will decide to print up another batch.

Watched the first season of Grimgar this weekend and you were right, its a great series. The animation is beautiful and the story has me intrigued.

I like how they break down the characters new skills and abilities they learn as they get stronger.

Awesome! Glad you enjoyed it. The animation really is some of the best I've seen. Some of the scenes are like art pieces.

The skills thing actually turned a lot of people off because it was too much exposition. But you kinda have to do that in Anime to explain things, or else you miss a lot of the details from the manga.

What did you think of the music? They were contractually obligated to use those songs. But I loved them. It's the only anime I've ever wanted to buy the music from.

Since I made that post I have heard from the r/berserk that many volumes of Berserk have begun to run out of stock everywhere. It's as you said apparently typical for Dark Horse to let this happen every few years. I have been seeing some places gouging the prices for the harder to come by volumes for $60 to as high as over $150. People seem to think that with the upcoming release of the 38th issue and the new anime that a re printing should be coming.

In the meantime I started reading that mangastorm last night. Hopefully the reprinting comes soon because I really would prefer to own the physical medium.

Yes, it's weird. I remember a few years ago before the movies came out, I had no problems getting 1-10 I think. It wasn't until I came across 14 that I couldn't find it anywhere, so I just skipped it and moved on through. Now, it looks like amazon would have no problems shipping 14.

Volume 38 comes out next month I believe so maybe that will help too.

The manga and the anime diverge greatly. The manga is a great story though.

If you want something good, read the Deadman Wonderland manga. It's 13 chapters but it's badass.

Another good one is Ubel Blatt.

I thought it was great that they went through and explained the new skills the characters learned. It plays more like an actual mmorpg does which is what I think is happening in this anime.

The music is great, I liked how they often had music with lyrics playing while the characters were doing things that didn't require them talking. Seemed more like a movie in that regard.

All in all I am excited for the second seaason.

Problem is it ends too quickly. Only one season. There is so much badass to be had if they would have continued the story. The complete story is amazing.

I really need to finish Deadman. Made it through roughly 10 episodes, give or take, and then just kinda fizzled out. Can't put my finger on what did it.

Did you ever take a shot on Grimgar? I know you stay pretty busy, just curious what you thought of it if you had.

Where can I watch deadman wonderland at? I've been looking for it on crunchyroll and Netflix but no go.
