I've been lurking for awhile, but finally had to post on this thread.

This is all hearsay, but I was talking to a kid in NO who said the QB on his high school team is being recruited by Bama and LSU. The kid is leaning towards Bama because when he visited CLM walked right by him w/no acknowledgment. CNS on the other hand took time out to talk to him, knew who he was etc.

If true really makes me wonder about our recruiting tactics. I mean isn't it part of the job to make an effort to make these kids feel wanted?

Unless there is another reason, it is embarrassing that we did not stay in contact with this kid. According to his interview, it was between LSU and UF. To let him go is just DUMB.

Maybe he was distracted with thoughts of how to get JJ another year of eligibility?

So what player is Saban kicking off his commitment list for Howard? or should I say which player has change of heart and decides to go elsewhere?

This shite never ends. You need to watch the videos of the recruitment of Rasco last year and tell me which coach is more likely to walk past one of his recruits and not acknowledge him.

Maybe the coaching staff is tired of these OOS youngsters playing us for fools and see this here. Hopefully This is an old occurrence and we are still wanting him.

Saban will kick off his kickers on the team. He has no use for them, wait!

No, he can sign as many as he wants.

Are you saying Howard is leaning toward Bama? That would be the first I've heard of that if so.

Howard will more than likely wait to NSD to make a decision correct?

A school is going to have to give him a reason to hold off. LSU will have to contact him and impress upon him they are very interested and it would be wise to hold off a commitment and just visit.

Why in the world wouldn't we be blowing his phone up? I mean the kid said he is would like to visit LSU. It seems like all he wants is to go to a school that needs him. I just don't understand why we wouldn't keep in contact with him.

Well, what he tells a writer and what he tells other coaches privately is two very different things. Who knows what he has told coaches.

IF they thought they had a shot at him, they would be contacting him. Maybe they have. Maybe he told them he's not really interested, but still wants the publicity from rivals or scout.
