I would tell him to be quiet for at least 1 week, and let everyone digest it. I would then tell him to start out by apologizing in front of the media to both qb's. Then make a statement how this will not happen again, as long as he is coach. That this was the greatest team he ever coached, but he thinks next year might be better.
What would you tell him to do?

I would advise him to get a new PR advisor. And then I'd leave the building.

This sounds like a hostage scenario.

Tell him to apologize to rantards for a 13-1 season and an SEC Championship. Not.

Two things that will never happen. It wasn't the greatest team ever.

The last natl. championship winning team was.

Hire a world class OC, and get out the freaking way. Take it easy on the sideline, lol.

Apologizing is for bitches!

He gets PAID to make tough decisions and while the decision may be unpopular, its one that he had to make. I would release a statement or 2 about coaches/early departures, but the next time you would hear from me would be on NSD when I was done inking a top 5/10 recruiting class.

Apologizing to an irrational and spoiled fan base would be idiotic.

Something went down. Some explanation has to be given regarding that bizarre football game.

It's just a question of whether revealing what went down has more substantial reprocussions than just staying quiet and look like an imbecile that game planned poorly.

Recommend Les gets JJ to be an LSU Grad assistant for the football team so they can spend more quality time together.

Apologize to the team for letting them down, poor game planning, poor game management, and quitting on them.

Apologize to all Tiger fans for all things he apologized to the team for and promise to never let personal feelings for a player cloud his ability to do the correct thing for the teams success.

Commit to all that he will hire a new OC and allow the new OC to run the offense without his continued intervention. Commit that he will always play the best player no matter seniority. Commit to always have at least two game plans for each game incase the initial game plan does not work. Commit to utilize players to achieve their greatest potential.

That would be a good start.

Nothing. LSU was utterly stupid and guaranteed him $18.75 Million. As long as he doesn't commit a recruiting violation, LSU can do nothing to him without having to pay him that money.

It was obvious in the NC game, Les couldn't give two shits about the game or the season at that point.

Les is in the position of power now, not LSU. Thanks Skip and Joe.
