The O line, playcalling etc. has to gel; hopefully with Met at the helm gives us much better playcalling options but that depends on u no who!

50/50 Mettenberger and Jerrard Randle? No way!! Although this is Les we are talking about. I pray that a JJ vs JL situation never happens again!!

Man you all are sleeping on Stephen Rivers. You all see his brother phillip with San Diego. He has some serious Football DNA.

That's the irony. If [Mettenberger] does as well as we hope/expect, then we'll wonder why the hell he didn't play this season.
Apparently, even if we go undefeated and win the NC next season, some people still won't forgive Miles. Funny, I don't remember hearing much negativity about Miles when we were 13-0 and SEC champs. . .

Mett will probably be converted to wide receiver.

I don't think so. Miles petioned the NCAA for an orange shirt year for the time JJ missed being wrongfully accussed of a felony

If we'd just had a QB of Matt Flynn's caliber this year (good but not Heisman college QB), we'd have gone 14-0 and gone down as one of the greatest teams of all time

this. This bad feeling from the last game will never go away

ESPN is lying. Coach Miles said that Mett was thrid string cause he hadn't grasp the playbook, etc. It's theoretically impossible for Mett to go from 3rd string to breakout player in 3-4 months. I believe Coach Miles. ESPN full of dodo

said he would have LSU at the top again, and we could finally utilize our skill players on the perimeter.Feels good to hear news like that, and get this JJ crap behind us.It's time to move on,quit worrying about things we can't control.

I certainly hope so, but I've heard this every year since 2007.

Exactly GEaux2002. That's what some of these folks are pissed about is that's what's been expected and told since 2007 and these folk done had enough of CLM. He lost some credibility.

I absolutely DO NOT TRUST Miles to make a correct assessment of his QB situation.

Hence, I have zero confidence that the right QB will be on the field.

NONE.

Seriously, how long could it possibly take to grasp this playbook?

I hear Rivers has impressed coaches during his redshirt year. Can't wait for the spring game to see some new faces under center.

Mett's gotta fix that stance when he's under center though-looks like he's takin a dump.

There's only one game we would be wondering about Mett playing, of course, since LSU won all the others. And it should be pretty clear that QB was only one of the many, many problems in the last game. Foremost was poor coaching/preparation. And poor OL play. And I really think having to play a team that LSU beat before, with that great achievement thrown in the crapper by the media, was too much of a downer to play with the level of emotion needed.

So I won't be wondering what would happen with Mett playing that game. Instead, I'll be pissed a long time at the way LSU had their win thrown out. Hell, we would have been better off being the ones who lost by 3 to them Nov. 5. I think the proper motivation would have ensued and LSU would hold the crystal ball.

Will most certainly split snaps with Jerrard Randle

THIS IS WHAT I FEAR!!! Alabama proved once again that you don't need a "dual-threat" QB to win the title. Brees certainly doesn't run the ball. You only need to scramble 2-3 times a game to get a needed first down, etc.

With 4 quality QBs going into next season how in the hell can CLM make the right decision? No matter who he goes with, half the fan base will be pissed with his choice
