quote:

"I wish I could have helped out in any way," Lee told ESPN's Edward Aschoff after the game. "Still thought we played hard, fought tough, had a special season, a special group of seniors. I really enjoyed playing with these guys. But yeah, I felt like given the opportunity I could have came in and helped a little bit."

When asked if there was any point Lee thought he could go to the coaches and ask for a chance, he shot down the notion.

"If they wanted to give me an opportunity, they would have," he said. "I just tried to stay loose, tried to stay prepared on the sideline if that opportunity did come."

But Les is the coach and we should never question the coach, look how far he got us!

ESPN must be a nega-tiger. Why are they interviewing the back-up qb? Oh yeah, the entire nation watched him play well for 8 games this year only to be banished to the back of the bench for the 92 yard offense that LSU currently runs.

Even though I think he is a terrible quarterback, I'm sad he was never given a chance last night. His final game as a Tiger.

Don't get why he didn't get a shot.

Probably make little difference, but still doesn't make sense.

He should have gone to Miles and said, "Put me in coach, I'm ready to play...today."

I don't have the heart to click that link. I feel so bad for JL. It's the BCSNG, it's the last game that JL will get to play as a Tiger and he never got called onto the field. Perhaps he could have lead a furious comeback or perhaps he would have been a goat. Whatever the case, he deserved the right at some point to be on the field last night to either succeed or fail on his own term.

Jarrett Lee does and will always have my upmost respect... He is a true team player and a GREAT Tiger... I wish him all the best in the world and I will be pulling for him to land a gig somewhere and shock the world.

Thanks for everything Jarrett, as if you would even see this... You will be one of my favorite Tigers just on heart alone...

Lee will go down as the most loved LSU qb without a NC since Rohan Davy.

JL for the way he was treated by fans early on and by the way he was treated by his coach at the end is one class act. I wish him all the joy life can bring and continued success. THANK YOU JARRETT LEE.

he is more of a level headed man than I would have been, I would have been all up in the coach's face saying give me a chance in my last college game I can do better than this.

I hope he lights it up at the hula bowl.
