Thought he had a good showing today at the Army All-American Game. Mentioned on an earlier post that he contacted LSU and expressed an interest. Anyone have current info?

They've been concerned with it just not as much as usual. No word really coming out because they missed this contact period because of the game.

Isn't Bama doing the same thing? They seemed to do ok the last couple weeks recruiting

If these guys wind-up playing to their potential, and combined with the players that they already have, Bama could be an NFL team in a couple of years.

Last I heard, he had made contact with the staff, but they basically are not going to start recruiting someone hard until they visit. I think if he visits we have a chance, because I don't think anyone has overly impressed him, and he's definitely going out of state.
That being said, it's hard to imagine that we can get on this many guys this late and have enough time to spend on them all.

I think he's just pandering for offers/interest, they quoted him today where he said the exact same thing, just swapped LSU out for Penn State.

Yes Bama has done the same thing. They also didn't have coaches flying around the country this week visiting kids as other schools have done in this current contact period. LSU and Bama have been basically phone only in this period because they are in New Orleans preparing for a game. That only pertains to the period of Jan 4-7 which is the current contact period. The prior contact period was in late November through mid December. Both staffs were business as usual in that period. No commit that Bama has gotten in the past few weeks necessitated any work during this contact period. Those kids were already locked up. Yeldon,Taylor,Jones and Collins have long been Bama guys. Just so happened that only Jones was known to be. Our staff has also done tremendous work in the last month. Our guys just aren't public yet aside from Deion Jones.

bama can sign up to 28 this year and one of theirs isnt going to qualify.

He didn't drop them, but they fell alot and I don't think he goes there unless he loves whoever they hire and they get the trust back from momma

Mom still likes UF a lot and what it has to offer. No doubt that Weis leaving affected UF though. However, Stefon really likes Brian White and Aubrey Hill. Plus, we have the family connection, an in-home with Muschamp left, and an OV probably. The ground we lost can easily be made up to put us back at the top.
