Wife and I are heading down early for the Sugar Bowl tonight. I'm thinking about going to the Hyatt to try one of their new restaurants.

Looking for something casual. I see there isn't much information online about their restaurants.

I'm thinking Vitascope. Anybody been there? I see menu varies from sushi to burgers.

Any other suggestions?

Vitascope is real cool IMO. Only thing I've eaten there is the raw bar seafood platter. Awesome

That is far away from the Dome in cold weather. That would be ideal though.

You could call ahead and see how bad it is. I have a feeling the Superdome won't be anywhere close to full tonight.

Ended up a Vitascope last night.

We had the homemade potato chips ($2.95). Last night's variety included ketchup, BBQ and white cheddar. BBQ and Ketchup were the best. Highly recommended as a cheap app.

We also got the unbreaded buffalo wings (around $10). They were meh. The buffalo sauce was decent, but they were drowned in it. Ranch was decent.

We split the cheeseburger (around $10). According to menu, 90% Black Angus and 10% Kobe. Either way, it was great. Would get it again. Fresh cut fries were like Luke.

Total bill was $37 with tip for all that plus an iced tea and Bud.

Very cool, modern & upscale sports bar with TV's at almost every table.

Sould have got the seafood platter off the raw bar menu, but then again you also drank a Bud.

It was Gameday and they had limited supply. Don't like Abita Amber.

At least it was a Bud Red.

I've been there about 6 times and 2 of those times they were out of NOLA Blonde. Must have a hard time keeping a good stock.
