Book you wish would make a jump to film/TV

Probably has been a thread on here several times before, but what is a book that you would love to see make the crossover to TV/movie.
For me it is Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card. I can read this book over and over again and feel the story would translate very well. Probably my favorite book in the SciFi genre.

I kind of want someone to make The Navidson Record from House of Leaves.

I do and I don't want this all at the same time. I think it would be a brilliant small film. But whoever does it has to have a deft hand.

I think the director has to make it cinema verite. It has to be a "documentary" just like the one described in the book. and since most of House of Leaves is unfilmable, just get rid of those parts. Stick to the film that doesn't exist.
If nothing else, make the five and half minute hallway as an experiment.

I think an animated series of the Ender Saga would be cool after the movie releases. CGI would be nice.

I've been reading nothing but non-fiction about war lately so my two would be Lone Survivor and Unbroken. Both would need an HBO miniseries type of treatment.

none... I'm never very impressed by the movie adaptations of my favorite books.

Except it actually is being adapted into a movie.

Preacher comic needs to be an HBO series.

Yeah, I saw that. I wrote something about this the other day. I'm pulling for it, but I just can't see it comparing to the written word this time.
From Jim Rockford's thread the other day:

As much as I love the book, I really don't think it can translate well to film. The beauty of the book is in the prose itself. Not the action. Not the dialogue. Also, I don't think anyone can pull off The Judge.

I've wanted to see Yiddish Policemans Union get made but I heard the Coens are already on top of it.
