Some aggie is saying alot of illegal shite went on about him coming to LSU instead of A&M.

I find this ironic considering the Aggies are the ones that had the probation to deal with in the 90's.

Any story to this?

The only thing I remember about Harvey was a reporter asked him who was the best RB in the SEC and Harvey said "You are looking at him."

A&M's asses hurt after losing him. They said the same shite when Tolliver came here. Both from the same high school.

Back in the day, aTm had an in at West Jeff. Not sure which coach, but they stood by their promise to a running back named Holly Wilson who got injured in the playoffs back in the 70's.

I remember him playing his first game against A&M on an ESPN night game in Tiger Stadium. Tommy Hodson and Harvey Wiliams had big games to shock a Top Ten A&M team. ESPN interviewed Harvey's Dad on the sideline during the game and he was one proud Papa.

He said something like "I am going to LSU university." I didn't know he was going to switch until his official announcement "conference."

I knew he was from Hemptstead, and aggies consider that their area. And I knew the swap was last minute. Dumb aggie I live near was trying to tell me we pulled some strings...oh well...

I don't think it has anything to do with throwing dirt to get anybody in trouble. He just sounded like a sore fan from losing out on the kid, and tried to blame it on shady recruiting.

He also said that he was going to win 2 Heisman's while at LSU. For Fan Day his freshman year my cousin and I (who were juniors in high school) drove up to BR from outside of NOLA to meet him. At the time they had all the players on folding chairs around the sidelines of the field by number, so it was easy to find guys. It wasn;t as big then as it is now, so we were able to get across the field to where he was first, but decided to say hello to Sammy Martin (#23) first out of respect to the senior!

Then we went and asked Harvey about the Heismans...

BTW, THAT dude had ginormous calves.

The most upright runner I have ever seen...and he was famous for his choking motion when talking about his wife/girlfriend who was supposedly choked by Harvey...

I'm sure everything with signing Harvey was on the strait and narrow, just like when we signed John Williams in basketball

I think Tolliver is his newphew

They might be confused with one of our alum's recruitment of Johnny Hector. There was a few eyebrows raised about a retaliatory comment relative to Hector's signing with aTm. It's ancient history.
