I've not even tried to look for the absurd from their fans, yet I noticed these rebuttals from 'Bama fans in the loss to LSU.

a) OT doesn't count; ergo, while Bama didn't win, they didn't lose either. Bama has sworn affidavits that they never agreed to the tie-breaker format when it was instituted and go along with it in silent protest, unless of course they win by it.

b) field goals can be disregarded as play when 'Bama misses them. Why should a 'Bama opponent (e.g. LSU) get credit for "no goods" attempted by 'Bama anyway?

c) LSU's punter is not better than Bama's because the former overkicks his coverage. The fact that the average return against his kicks is near 13 inches is somehow irrelevant.

Anyone care to add others?

In Bama, quality losses count for more than quality wins.

Bama would've won if the game had longer quarters!
