Why in the hell would you want Dabo?

I didn't say I wanted either of them. Just two coaches that may be looking for a move.

Sherman and Mullen's numbers look eerily similar in 2009-2011 with a slight edge to Sherman for a better conf record.

I would like to think that Sherman had more to work with. If not, then maybe Sumlin is the right choice.

I'm not as familiar with MSU intimately. Sherman definitely had more money and better facilities but probably had less talent at time of hiring.

Fran's classes were ranked ok but were full of busts and huge voids at some positions especially OL

MSU is where A&M coaches go to die.

Not the other way around.

Actually, Emory Bellard did well his first years but refused to change his game when he couldn't get the athletes to run his triple option. Jackie Sherrill did well at State. Good coach but pretty reckless in his approach to the game (if you know what I mean).

Bellard had just two winning seasons (years 2&3) in 7 years at MSU. When he was canned he ended up at a high school.

Jackie did a bit better at 7 in 13 but the bottom really fell out by the end. Jackie left y'all under a cloud just as he did to A&M and was never a serious candidate for another HC job.

Pure and simple whether TAM fans admit it or not, Clemson is a better job than TAM. No way Dabo leaves Clemson for TAM. He's got more talent on his team and is right smack in the deep south where the best football talent is. He'd be crazy to leave Clemson. I don't think Dabo is the coach to do it because he's just not a good HC but Clemson has all the resources to be a major, title contending program year in and year out. They are similar to how LSU was viewed before Saban, a sleeping giant, if they ever get the right coach. TAM has a lot of potential as a program but will always be 2nd to Texas in the state of Texas therefore killing some of the pluses they have in their favor.

So it's very similar to their work at Texas A$M. Am I right?

I'm stinking Mullen is planning on A&M being a conference win for him.

A&M is maybe equivalent to Clemson. Well, except for the Conference champ part.

All the current coach options for eATMe over-state the attractiveness of a job that is fairly certain to get you fired quickly. That's like taking on a job where your main competitors are Microsoft, Google, & Apple.

Not even close.

La produces more talent than SC and unlike SC does not have another similar program in the state.

I bet Dabo's agent put these rumors out there so Dabo can now go to recruits and say

" I thought about the A&M job then prayed on it, but God told me to stay in Clemson so I can coach you. Lets rub that rock and run down a hill so we can finish the good lord's work. "
