I'm 23 years old, and I've never seen a guy impact games as much as this guy has.

He is just always around the ball. I compare him to Ed reed for his knack for big plays/return ability.

He is truly a one in a decade type of player. No defensive back since Charles Woodson has had his impact on a game. Not even PP7.

Also we need a honey badger emoticon.

He has had way more of an impact than Woodson did. Go back and look at Woodson's numbers. Hell, he only had one punt return for a TD in his career.

agreed. Lav in 03 or Faulk are the only ones who come close since I've watched.

You must be a newborn, since there was a better player on the field last season.

Patrick Peterson was top to bottom a better player and it's shown in the NFL. Peterson also has the hardware to prove it. Mathieu is awesome and has shown some great stats. The reason Peterson didn't put up such gaudy numbers is because no one dared try to pass against him. When your opponent avoids you at all costs, that is greatness..

He is amazing to watch. It doesn't matter what era you remember most, He makes plays out of nothing. I watch in disbelief sometimes at his ability to strip a ball and come up with it. I also thought his punt returns in the SECCG were ridiculous.

Kevin Faulk was LSU football for years. Right now TM7 is having a great season. Faulk is the SECs all time leader in yardage.

Agreed. Can't believe some of his plays, and can't believe they still kick to him.

But got to give his teammates some credit. I think his playmaking skills are a perfect fit for our team.

He is a great playmaker..but he needs to put up similar stats next year if he wants to pass this guy as the greatest LSU playmaker

Who'd you get that comparison from? Kirk Herbstreit?
