how soon you forget that they were beaten by an unranked Iowa St. How can this team be a more legitimate contender than Alabama. Don't give me this "Alabama had their chance bullshite" Yeah, they had their chance and lost in OT by 3 to the number one team in the land.

1. Alabama already lost at home to the other team that is in the title game. This isn't horsehoes.

2. Who has Alabama beaten?

And we lost to an unranked Ole Miss team in 08. Bama shouldn't be in because they didn't even make their conference championship game.

I want to watch Lsu and OSU. I think Lsu will be too much for them but it's an interesting match-up. I sure don't want to watch another kicking match for the title.

Alabama is obviously a good team but their schedule is not Immpressive at all this year. No way they earned another shot IMO.

because season's aren't 1 game long. 1 loss on the road tp a 6-6 team does not wipe out more wins vs top 50 teams than Bama and winning a conference.

T. Boone Pickens does

quote:

"If we don't get in the BCS [title game], if I have the power to do it, I'm going to have an investigation," Oklahoma State mega-booster T. Boone Pickens said after Saturday night's game. "After the way we handled OU tonight, I just can't imagine LSU playing Alabama twice. It looks like an SEC-closed system if that happens."

From a fricking gator fan at that!

2006 set the precedent for giving another team a shot, and UF proved that "the eyeball test" isn't that effective to the tune of 41-14. No one thought tOSU could be beaten, and Michigan played them them closest. 2006 Michigan = 2011 Bama The voters started the 5 year SEC run by giving UF a shot. Try to imagine if Michigan had gotten a do-over; I mean they had the best loss and they played tOSU close!?!

My problem with the rematch possibility is the logic all the talking heads have used to justify it.

Every other year these same people say best resume and body of work. this year all i've heard is give me the 2 best teams.

Clearly Bama and LSU right? OK. If OSU's kicker makes that kick that went over the upright and they beat Iowa State, who are the 2 best teams? Is it still clearly Bama and LSU? what would have then changed? Bama wouldn't even be in the discussion with an undefeated OSU, although they still would beat them in the eyeball test and be "clearly the better team".

As much as you wanna just use the eyeball test, the only way to be fair and objective to all teams in consideration is to look at their whole body of work, but everyone who works for ESPN seems to have skipped about 5 steps this year when reaching their conclusions.

2007 Tigers lost to an unranked Arkansas late and still played.

Try harder.
