The reason they use it, over the other ones, is cause they needed something copyrighted. None of the other logos are copyrighted so they have a hard time making money off them. That's the reasoning behind toonces.
They could easily update the helmet tiger and get it copyrighted..at least keep the logo in the sprit of the helmet tiger and if not, the Tiger Eye and geaux font are copyrighted use that officially and get Toonces out! Toonces only looks good on kids clothes

I think the eye on the helmet would look awesome.

1. I will never buy anything with Tounces and/or the floating tiger head abomination. 2. Maybe it is Tounces that smells like corndogs. 3. At least it's not a black bear.

Worst. Mascot. Ever. I take every chance I get him in Mississippi to rub their little black bear noses in that fact....

Bump, because clearly the full bodied toonces still exists since it was on the Heisman pennant

this should be our logo for ANYTHING on TV (like the BCS Standings, etc) This logo is a disgrace and makes me want to vomit. I refuse to buy anything with this logo on it or even accept any gifts with this logo on it: Another disgrace. There is no reason that we need to see Mike's entire body: Also fricking hate this font: While not my favorite, I can at least tolerate the one they are prodominantly using now:

should remain LSU's logo for a good while. Those older logos reek of the 1970s and 80s. The current one is clean and has an NFL feel about it.

I refuse to purchase an LSU clsss ring because it features Toonces. I'll wait until they remove it. It looks absolutely ridiculous.

Personally, I think our "TV logo"....used on sportcenter, CBS, etc....should simply say "LSU" (no head, no picture, no graphic, no nothing....Just Block-letter LSU. We have a very unique and short name that the name itself can be the logo, not to mention VERY recognizable.

Big tradition guy I see. If you like Toonces, you are either a bandwagon LSU fan or have awful taste. It's the LSU brand, not a style in clothing. Regardless, that symbol is a total embarrassment. When people from other SEC schools ask you to change it because they are embarrassed, it's time for a change.
