As I was wathing the bama, albarn game today I noticed the condition of the playing field at auburn looked pretty good.

I am sure most of you attending the LSU game and those who saw it on TV noticed the poor condition of our turf. I saw Claiborne slip twice. The field looked terrible to me. Did the team use the wrong shoes? Overwater? Is it worn out from all the games and practices during the year? I though the condition of the turf had improved this year. What do the Ranters think?

It might look good, but I've seen just as much slipping today as I saw yesterday.

The first thing I noticed when I got to my seats yesterday was how terrible the field looked. We should not have this same problem on a yearly basis. Go to turf and be done with it.

I hate to say it but our field sucks, it's beautiful but the condition or texture of it sucks.

Lack of sunlight has nothing to do with it. It is a new variety of Bermuda that I suspect doesn't have enough tensile strength to stand up to major college football games or is simply a fertility problem . Artificial turf has a whole batch of its own problems, especially with the climate we have in BR.

The hayseeds at The Bayou Disco Country Fest need to move it on over to the Bernie Moore Track and Field for their annual show. It's obviously fricking the field up.
