why would he be considering another head coaching job?? Wouldn't have thought he would have left a premier job like Florida if he had thoughts of returning to coaching after only a year or so.

He left because his wife Timmy is no longer there.

Obviously he lied about health and wanting to spend more time with family. Looks like he just wanted out of Florida.

This. He saw he was going to have a weaker squad and bailed.

he didnt lie about his health, my uncle works at shands in gainesville and said urban spent the night at the hospital 3 or 4 times due to his heart problems.

Urban saw the war chest was going to be bare, and if he was going to spend time with his family, that was the time. He knew he wouldn't be missing out on any BCS/SEC championships for a couple of years at least.
I actually look for him to get back into it in a few more years, potentially when mack brown leaves texas.

Because the kind of people who make great head coaches do not take well to time off.

I believe you Boom. But this whole thing makes no sense at all. So why can he coach now? Heart problems just don't go away! Sure heart problems can be treated but if they are bad enough to give up a dream job he still has long term issues.

I think this, more so than anything else. He was probably honest in leaving Florida to take a break, dude was sick. That said, he's the kind of guy that doesn't thrive unless he's in a high-stress position...
ETA - Oh, and MSB....

If so he'll be dead soon!

I heard he had a problem getting too casual with the coeds. Nothing egregious, but he was too "friendly". Of course that could be a rumor too.
