It's time for a new shotgun. I already have a 870 Wingmaster and a Browning BPS and some 1100's. I want a new auto. I have narrowed it to either the Maxus or Super Black Eagle II. Any experience with these guns? I figure a bunch of opinions and experiences with each will help me decide. So what are the pro's and con's of each. I will be using it for ducks as well as some doves. Thanks in advance for the help guys

I don't know anybody who shoots a maxus. Everybody I know shoots benelli, but I think that's because it's the "cool" gun. I would go with the maxus just to be different.

Friends that have the Browning say it doesn't eject low powered shells very well.

I was looking at the same two a few years ago and got the Maxus. Best shotgun I've ever owned.
3 1/2" 26" modb

I bought it from Simmons a few years ago when I lived in TX, they had the best price, esp since I wasnt paying tax, but did have to pay the transfer.

Anyway, it shoots like a dream. When they said it's light recoil, they arent kidding.

The only problem I had is the Browning
"cap" that goes on the bottom of stock where hand rail comes down fell off. But this also happened to my buddy's SBE. Those stock caps always seem to fall off.

I love my SBE II. I've killed pretty much every edible animal in the south east and have yet to have any problems.
