Where does Zach Maynard rank among worst QBs for BCS schools in your memory? I'm not going to bother pulling up the stats for him, because those probably don't do his awfulness justice.

We've had the opporunity to watch this vaunted Cal offense a few times in the last several weeks, so I just wanted your thoughts.

I'm so happy ESPN doesn't have anymore Cal games on Maynard is so frustrating. He's like Taylor Martinez but they let him throw the ball a lot. That pass against Oregon where he closed his eyes was terrible even if his receiver did bail him out.

He's no worse than what Wazzu has been trotting out the last couple of years...or Cody Hawkins with Colorado or Crompton for UT.

i enjoying watching maynard play. with some QBs you just get that feeling "well he's played pretty good this drive... time for a turnover" and maynard never fails to live up to my expectations.

as far as bad QBs go, his decision making is awful but i think that'll improve. at least his execution is good.. some QBs (including a bunch in the SEC) make bad decisions and have bad mechanics, so i wouldn't say maynard is among the worst. at least he's got something going for him.

Jeff Tuel is actually pretty good. It's the 10 other guys around him (minus their WR Wilson) that are terrible.

No the guy in 2009 that sucked...

Marshall Lobbestael

41% completion rate or something. Sucked last year too.

He could be OK if they limited him but instead they let him throw 40 times a game.

20% of the time Maynard looks pretty good and drives his team down the field a ways.

The other 80% he throws floaters that high school quarterbacks could make.

Karstetter is solid, although he's too big to be considered "scrappy"...

Anyone who finds Aaron Rodgers at Butte (Calif.) Junior College gets a free pass for taking this guy.
