I think the stats below are going into this season, but I'm not sure. The way our program is going and the way that UGA is going, it seems fairly likely that we can pass them in wins and win percentages over the next few years. This would be huge for the program as we would be the third best team in SEC history behind Tenn and Bama, both of which are way ahead of us.

UGA
731-389-54 (.646)
Bowl: 26-16-3

LSU
721-389-47 (.643)
Bowl: 23-19-1

For comparison:

Tenn
791-343-53
Bowl: 26-24

Bama
808-319-43
Bowl: 33-23-3

Info pulled from each team's wikipedia page.

Thoughts?

Charlie Mac had a pretty bad bowl record.

Before Dinardo our bowl record was 11-17-1.

We're on a 12-2 run since '95.

12-3 maybe, we lost to Texas in 02, Iowa in 04, and PSU in 09

Actually Mule, we have lost three bowl games during that time: Cotton Bowl to Texas in 2002, Capital One Bowl to Iowa in 2004 and the Penn State game a couple of years back.

Texas legitimately beat us, we could not stop Roy Williams.

Saban blew the Iowa game, his last frick you to LSU.

The Penn State game was also fricked, that field was terrible and favored Penn State's ground and pound instead of our WRs.

If I could take back one loss in Miles' career it would be the Penn State game.

Tennessee has pretty much ALWAYS been good.

I can see us making up those 10 games soon. Especially with the way our team is looking. We might only have 0-2 losses total between both years.

They've got 2 losses this year, with 3 more games that they could get a loss (UF, Aub, & GT). Next year, they've got 5 potential losses (USCe, UF, Bama, Aub, & GT).

We're still 3-4 years out unless they completely have the wheels come off.

70 behind Tenn and 87 behind Bama. I think we can forget about those. We'll just have to focus on recent history.

LSUMAN,

I really hope so, I live in Lafayette and work with a couple of UGA grads, I broke this news to them a couple of weeks ago after a hunting trip and on Monday morning, they both agreed that I had ruined their weekend. On top of that, I also told them that Derek Dooley could be their next coach, that REALLY pissed them off.

I with you on that. I think we play that game 10 times on a normal playing surface, LSU wins 7 out of 10. The field conditions were unacceptable

116-33 since the 2000 season.
8-3 in bowl games since the 2000 season.

All told, 77.9% winning percentage since the 2000 season.

Tigers were historically notorious for laying eggs in bowl games.

Mac and Arnsparger lost a LOT of bowl games (I sill miss Coach Mac, though).
