What has most pleasantly surprised you about this year's team?

Here's my top 3.

1. Offensive efficiency. I figured we'd be good, but not to the point of pretty much being able to do whatever we choose to do offensively. I'm not sure I've ever seen an offens turn things around from the point of ineptness/discombobulation to being a bunch of methodical arse kickers.

2. Mathieu. Last year, I looked at him as the little guy that made a bunch of big plays. I don't see how anyone can say they saw THIS level of play coming from him. Damn that kid's good.

3. Kicking. Our punting has been an absolute weapon, and field goals inside of about 45 have been automatic.

what surprised me most is Chavis continually putting Karnell Hatcher out there at MLB the first few games. what was he thinking.

1.Offense not sputtering and frustrating the crap out of me while watching games...

2. Defense dominating pretty consistently.

3. Games not going down to the wire (see #1) and putting up ~40 ppg.

But (puts on flame suit) I did see hints of sputtering and out of synch type stoff when JJ came in the game vs UF... delay of game, false start, and wasted timeout.

Nonetheless, this season so far is one for the ages.

We are dominating the opponent instead of playing down/up to their level. No nailbiters every weekend.

Our defensive tackles. We needed someone to step up and Logan and Brockers have been wrecking shite in the middle all year. At times Logan has been unblockable.

I think we've been down for 6 minutes. I seem to remember reading that somewhere. I know what you mean though. It's been domination against some really good teams.

I'd say our overall focus. Playing 4 ranked teams, all but one away from home, we've showed up every week in dominating fashion. This is a direct relationship to good coaching and leadership.

The fact that we can actually run the ball down people's throat. Unheard of two years ago.

1) The interior DLs. This was a real question of concern as far as depth and it's really become a strength of the team.

2) That the OL has been able to sustain all of the injuries its had thus far. This group also had some tough games and questions marks overall and it wasn't automatic that this would be something the team could rely on.

3) That Lee, Studrawa and Kragthorpre have clicked together so well with this hi-lo passing attack. This has been something that's been there for years and they finally are doing it.

1)Missed tackles (or lack there of) by the defense.

2)Down field passing.

3)Turnovers. very little for our offense and multiple in each game created by the defense.
