I watched the SEC Express replay of the LSU-Florida game last night on CBS College Sports Network (an absolutely brilliant show, by the way). At one point during the telecast, Gary Danielson stated that Ware "wasn't in the same class" as Richardson.

Listen, I have no quibble with the argument that Richardson is better than Ware. None at all. A rational case can be made for that proposition. However, when you invoke the phrase "in a different class," you are implying a vast talent disparity, as if Ware would be fortunate to even stay on the field with Richardson, as if Ware is toiling one echelon above the SunBelt whereas Richardson is just a hair's breadth from his first Pro Bowl appearance. It's hyperbole, in my estimation. And it underestimates Ware's talent. People appear to have forgotten than he was a highly sought recruit out of high school, just like Richardson. And that he has played exceedingly well this season.

Richardson may be better, but not exponentially so.

I heard that too. But I take everything Danielson and Verne say with a grain of salt.

LSU RB's seem to almost always be underrated IMO.

Ware would be better if he didn't have german blood in him.

I love that Danielson made this statement. Don't think for one second that Ware doesn't know about it. He ought to have it hanging in his locker.

Ware is physical specimen with exceptional talent. Let him take it to heart and prove GD wrong. Make him eat those words.

richarson is in his own class. Thus, everyone else is in a different class by default.

The same pundits would have told you that Ridley wasn't in the same class of Ingram as well.

Both Ridley and Ingram play in spread style NFL teams with elite QBs and Ridley looks like a much better RB by far in their 1st year.

Sorry, I agree with danielson. Ware is a great back, Richardson is proven with the stats, plays, and presence. If you have the same offense but change the running backs from ware to richardson, the defense changes with you but they are similar.

Trent Richardson is more proven than Spencer Ware. That's a fact you're gonna have to deal with.

Ware was punishing Florida defenders. Some of those runs were just brutal. The only advantage I would give Trent is he has had a couple years more experience.

Verne and Gary are a 3-hour infomercial for Nick Saban and Bama. They continuosly spooge over Bama while hosting other games.I try to tune them out.

CBS=Continuously Balling Saban

Look, it's great for LSU to be on this network so many times. It's just rough to stomach these two jokers and their love affair with all things Bama. LSU will hopefully shut them up hard on 11/5.

Idk about all that but Ware was knocking some heads around against Florida.

agreed.

and anyone without purple and gold glasses would as well. Ware just doesn't possess the same breakaway speed as TR, and thats what sets him apart

Danielson has the ability to see a lot of football film and review a lot of games. I'm sure he is pretty skilled on his viewpoints.

I have never been that impressed with our running game under Miles. We have yet to play a really strong run D like Bama. Three yards and a cloud seems to be our mantra rather then 60 yard bursts.

There is nothing wrong with that and Miles record vindicates his choice of running backs but it seems he prefers the strong rather then scat back. Sheppard is the fast one but doesn't appear to have the strength.

Richardson is a once in 10 year talent. Ware has a chance to be very special, too. Richardson is a junior and Ware is a soph.

i think our OL has experienced more trouble this year than bama's; josh D. out, moving blackwell, lonerhan (sp) and hebert missing time. because of that we have been a bit inconsistent (still good though). even so, i would be hard pressed to select between the two. i like wares ability to catch passes and run routes. if ware was running behind this years OL at bama his stats would be better than they are and principally because of the non-injury sitution at bama. who knows what will happen by nov. 5th however.

Who gives a shite, either way?

Both are obviously good. I'm fine with TR being deemed "better" than SW if we win the game.
