See we have some future anger managment patients around here tonight. Good lord people JJ is not starting yet, thankfully. Seriously doubt Miles would bench Lee just to start JJ next week or any of the upcoming weeks just because he is his love child. C'mon guys everyone including Miles knows Lee has this offense in control and everyone is on the same page and on a roll. Why would he want to jeopardize this and a 4-0 soon to be 5-0 record just to play JJ? Obviously it would put BR in an epic meltdown status and tiger stadium and all of LSU would probably be burnt down.

Jl will not have the rhythm he now has such as the rhythm that Gino Smith had last week if he has to run in and out, come Les surley you know this will effect JL.

I hate to keep being drawn back into this, but its impossible to let some of this go. Neutralizing the pass rush? By taking a super high number of sacks?

JJ needs to get at least one snap.

what would this board do if Jefferson came in the 4th series, lined up in the gun with Ware; ran read-option with Ware getting 4 yds on 1st down; QB keeper for 4 more on 2nd; did a step-back and unleashed a bomb to Randle on 3rd and 2 for a TD?

Just curious on your take. I think some people would have a stroke

I wouldn't start JJ, at least not now. Why fix the offense if it is not broken?
However, for easier games I would let JJ take some snaps to get warmed up, for the AL game, maybe have a plan with both qb's. Surprise them.

He actually may be more valuable next year. As things look right now, LSU will have no experienced QB's to start the season.

nice. god, if youre reading this, please make Miles play Lee every snap for the rest of the year. im begging you.

Hypothetical: what if JJ comes in vs Alabama and plays great in the snaps he does get like Lee did last year and even throws a TD and runs for another (in limited snaps) that puts the dagger in Bama

What do you post if that happened?

One thing people are failing to consider in all this JJ panic:

we changed OCs. Whoever is designing the offense now, be it Stud, Krags, or Miles, is not the "wizard" Crowton was, and fails to see whatever advantage Crowton saw to running a zillion arbitrary plays. The plays this year are all related, in that the run sets up play-action, and occasionally we string a few passes together to keep the defense honest.

Whoever is calling the plays has found the way to keep Lee from being overloaded with pressure, and made the game easy for him to execute. His lone pick was a throwaway, and a lot of his incompletions were either drops or hit the ground safely. No more forcing things. That was his flaw.

You have to expect the same situation for JJ if he is inserted- heavy emphasis on the run, with play-action on easy routes to read; hit the guy, or throw it away.

Whoever is calling the game has decided it's not rocket science, but rather that we have a good O-line and good backs, and some capable WRs (and TEs) that can take advantage of stacking the line. Can't see that changing

not to give away any Gridiron tidbits, but per Les Miles at noon on Friday, this report is BS.

They're looking to get JJ a few snaps. But Lee is the unquestioned starter. If anything, Miles speaks of Jefferson as being behind Mett now, so his only chance of seeing the field is in running packages.

I agree but not in slot but rather outside... he has height, reasonable speed, and he played a little receiver in High School before being qb .... Im not saying he should start but if he has decent hands he could help... after all we have had a good case of the drops this season

we have a solid recieving core already. He would be more usefull at QB against teams like Florida and Alabamawho are going to bring the heat on Lee and probably knock him around a bit. A QB like Jefferson could come in to relieve some of the pressure on Lee, spell him for a few series to give him a break to regather himself. Jefferson is a lot more physical QB than Lee.
