I don't think a good NFL franchise will ever take the risk because Miles's goofiness will always make him a hard sell to a fanbase.
Nonsense.

Get real

I know it's exaggerated (to an extent) but NFL $$ overall is more than college $$. I'm not saying it's a factor at all for Miles, but I won't completely discount it either. We don't know what his ultimate goals are in football. Who's to say it's not winning a Super Bowl?

You're right noone knows, but in my opinion, he's get everything he needs in BR and that includes his FAMILY, which is alot more important to him than it was to our last coach, and that is not an opinion.

I think he he sees the mistakes of SOS and Saban and I think he enjoys recruiting and mentoring college kids too much to leave it, which is one of the reasons Saban gave as for wanting to come back.

meh -- he isn't going anywhere. I don't see Miles in the NFL, he'd be a worse fit than Saban. Les loves the rah rah stuff, and loves LSU. If he does leave, he'll go out on top and LSU would be able to hire someone awesome.

If you are a good recruiter, there is no reason to go to the NFL.

In the NFL you get one first rounder a year. If you are a good recruiter, you can get ten every year.

I certainly agree to an extent (esp the differences between Saban and Miles). But Miles didn't have too much trouble leaving Ok St for a better career move. Just saying it's the nature of the beast. Being a coach at the highest levels means you have to be willing to move your family. I won't ever assume someone who isn't born and raised in South La will just refuse to leave this place if a better job is put in front of him. And only Miles can define what's better.

NO!

This is the pinnacle of football:

2003 LSU-UGA

2007 LSU-UF

2010 LSU-AL

Ask yourself what job has more pressure, at lsu? Or the NFL (different teams vary). but I would think there is more pressure to win at lsu, mainly because you have to win every game for a demanding fan base. Recruiting takes it's toll too. In the NFL you have salary caps, but you can sign free agents and the draft is usually pretty fair

Do you write Miles' press releases?

I disagree on that one. The trend of micro managing egotistical coaches is not working. Someone like miles would be a perfect fit.

wut? NFL fanbases are larger and more demdanding, there is way more media scrutny in the NFL, plus the teams are basically equal, so winning is harder.

NFL has more pressure, but also gets a bigger prize at the end.

Wow.... just think of this rich irony for a moment....

Les manages another BCS title at LSU somehow, then gets called up by Jerry. Boom, gone.

Saban's real estate agent gets real busy in BR and Boom, Saban is all ready to come back, except he's not sure if he wants to try to live up to following in MILES' footsteps. Not to mention being told he's winning with MILES' players.

Miles Legacy actually weighs on Saban's thought Process.

"It's like RAA-EE-AAAIN!!...."
