I have a repair man at the house today, so I took the day off and figured I would brew while ensuring that the repair man doesn't steal shite from the house.

Brewing an ESB. Should come out at about 1058 which puts it near 6.25 ABV. 45 IBU's. Hopefully will be a pretty tasty beer.

Anyone else brewed recently or brewing soon?

Unfortunately I have to go back to work at like 630 tonight so not a ton of drinking, but will probably bust out a beer or two before too long.

Listening to the most recent Sunday Session from Brewing Network, interviewing the Pizza Port head brewer right now.

I haven't brewed since June. I need to brew again. My last 2 batches were ruined by over carbonation, so i need to redeem myself and make a good beer.

I still have about 40 bottles in the fridge from last spring's brew-a-thon of 6 brew days in 2 weeks. I need to have a mini-Octoberfest to clear them out.

If you were in Baton Rouge, I would invite you to our club's Oktoberfest next Sunday. We would be happy to take your beer off your hands

Haven't brewed in a while... need to clear out some 'inventory' before I should go for another batch.

Just finished sparging and lit the burner. Still plenty of time for anyone to come join me.

Don't get off for another two hours, so I doubt that will happen, but thanks!

You been doing alot of all grains lately? I have everything for a double chocolate stout. Need to figure out how to pump some more O2 into my wort for the yeast to start up quicker and/or make a starter. Both sound like i need to buy some stuff.

how did you iver carbonate it? Just curious.

Can't you just shake it to add O2?

Haven't done an extract beer in a while. Figured out my system fairly well and am hitting numbers almost exactly every time. And I have a TON of grain at the house so I need to use it up.

You either need to hake the hell out of the carboy or bucket and make a starter, pitch more yeast, or buy an O2 system.

On a side note, I am not totally happy with my Oktoberfest beers. They are both good just not as good as I was hoping. Oh well, nothing that people wont like or drink a bunch of.

To be more specific, my Rye Marzen doesn't have the spice that I thought it would. More of a nice malty German Lager.

Oh by the way. I do extract and I got a Pale Ale in bottles, a german trappist ale in the secondary and a lemon grass ginger in the primary.

A brewing update: I think I missed my gravity by a little but I should be in pretty good shape. Luckily I was making an ESB and not an Ordinary Bitter, so it should be fine.

Haven't brewed in several months. Someone suggested the other day that I call in sick and brew something. I might just do that and set aside a few for that guy.

I pulled a double brew day a two weeks back to try and get my supply back up. My supply was down to nothing. I spent this past weekend disassembling my keezer and giving everything a much needed cleaning.

Got a pumpkin porter planned for this weekend. Hopefully I can get away from the office for a half a day.
