You play the guy coming back next year. Why in the hell would you not play the QB who will be the starter next year? Going into next year, Mett would have more experience versus anyone returning.

Same stats does not equal same production or outcome.
You're question is intentionally vague, either to condition responses or in an effort to not condition responses.
If the premise is both quarterbacks operating in parallel seasons where their execution, as you put it in the op, is equal in all facets of the game, then you play Mett because he gains the most in experience. If the premise is merely that stats are equal, then you play Lee for the experience he already has.

but in fact we dont. so we are going with the guy with more experience, who has been there and done that and won games, even in the past season.
