No blur, they run different plays out of different formations, whereas Oregon runs very similar plays out of a shitload of different formations, and Moo doesn't run anywhere near the crazy options Oregon does.
You would be surprised how similar it is. State will speed up their tempo as well. One thing you are gonna notice is Relf (Miss State qb) Is gonna keep the ball WAAAY more on that Triple option. (Oregon lots of times last year would run the triple option from the gun where one of the receivers motions back to the backfIeld) LINK Darron Thomas only kept it like twice which I think was a Mistake on Oregon's part. If you are gonna run it, make the defense defend the dive and make them defend both options on the pitch. Keep an eye on how many times Relf keeps It. The last play against Auburn on the goal line is one where he should have pitched it

I think it will be a good test for us, but ultimately we're stronger, deeper and more rested.

Why is that ? Because of the injuries for State ?

I agree... close for a while, Tiger pour it on ... we will wear them out.. I dont understand a couple of opinions I read on here that say the Tigers are not "physical", I see them as being a dam physical team... and I think we will see it Thurs. night..

Only question is without Nevis and K Shephard against our first physical SEC team, but I'm with you Lake Chuck. I think we may be even more physical than last year if that's possible. I know our secondary is more physical. P Peterson was a sick cover corner but Tyrann gives you a more effective playmaker vs the run.

LT injury to State is probably big, and their D hasn't stopped the run in two games. LSU will be well prepared...game over by the fourth quarter, I'd say.

my gosh some of you LSU fans act like this isn't LSU.. like they haven't been here before.
worried about miss st physical style? WHAT THE frick MAN.
FLORIDA/LSU 07.. now that was physical.

There's always concern going into a sec game, but I think Lsu is extremely physical. Some media sources have called Lsu defense the most physical and violent in the nation. I am not ready to anoint them as such, but do believe they will be ready and are really physical.

I think MSU will test our front 7 more than Oregon did IMHO...
I agree

We don't really know how well our front will handle legit pounding just yet...
they're gonna pound back.
not understanding the hand-wringing, it's not like State didn't get physical last yr or is installing something new. it's pretty much the same offensive lineup, though I'd expect them to be better with another yr under their belts. at any rate, WE READY!

we're smaller but our little guys are a lot tougher than i thought they'd be. you dont see that much.
stopping the run is about the 2 defensive tackles and the mlb. if those 3 can play at a high level (whoever it is in the game at that time) we'll have no problem.
it's gonna be fun to watch.

Then reality will set in. Tigers run away in the 2nd half.

This is what makes the SEC the elite conference in college football today.

As a whole, we are bigger this year.
I'm assuming you are referring specifically to the LBers. When Minter is in, we are actually bigger than last year. Baker is close to 240 now and Minter is 245. When Hatcher is in, I agree with you, but even he is up to around 230. This is all according to TSD and Tigerbait.

I've been really impressed with Tharold Simon's tackling so far this year. Kid is a brick wall, gives up nothing on YAC.
