Everybody know Les Miles and Jarrett Lee are long time Lee haters and want Jefferson to start.

Neither JJ or JL have good mechanics. They are both inconsistent. They are being rewarded (by Les Miles) for their hard work and the fact they are both senior QBs. We all know that Mettenberger has the biggest upside of the 3. I also believe that most of us would like to see JL or JJ go out with a good senior campaign. However, when the dust settles, will likely need Mett.

You do not want to bring up frosh years in a Jarrett Lee debate. Not to mention Murray's performance against Boise would have been one of the best performances by an LSU QB since 07.

You are right on point, we missed every slant oppurtunity in this game bc our WR's had to severely readjust to balls behind

This x10000

Fortunately, we were playing Oregon, so the results were just missed first downs.

Throwing the ball behind receivers against Florida or Bama will result in interceptions.

I heard he beat Murray, and then played grab arse in the bar.

IOW, Murray got the job the same way Lee did. . .

Fortunately he has time to work that out.

Or time to get Mett ready if he can't.

You think Oregon's defense is on par with Bama and Florida?

Oh, I like the guy. I like the guy a LOT. I think we are a better team with him on the field then we were with JJ.

JL hates JL and supports JJ not matter how bad JJ played. You can tell JL has crush on JJ because JL is always bashing Lee!

I'll take Bama's and Florida's DB's over Oregon's nine times out of ten. And the NFL agrees.

Bottom line is that if Lee's throwing the ball behind his receivers/TE's against Oregon's defense even while they're stacking 8-9 in the box, then SEC defenses will feast on him.

hopefully they are, but I doubt it.
Lee's throwing behind a reciver 1-2 times in the first game isnt a concern for LSU fans that arent looking for every single reason they can find to criticize the guy (people such as yourself).
Catching the football, as LM has said 2-3 times since sat... however is.

I shouldnt have repsonded to that dude..
I like him less than you.
Thought the pos was banned... guess not.

Maybe it's just how he throws. Maybe he throws more with his hips.A QB coach could give himself a headache pointing out all of the problems with Philip Rivers' motion, but it works for him.

Comparing throwing off ones back foot and throwing motion is comparing apples and oranges.

Watch Lee in pregame warming up. I bet you will not see him throw off his back foot once. It is not his "style". It is a qb who is skittish in the pocket, has happy feet, and throws off his back foot. I love the kid for his dedication to LSU, but he is lacking toughness in the pocket.

JLee throwing off his back foot is not his biggest flaw. The dude lock his gaze in the direction of his intended WR's about 95 frickin percent of the time. Rarely does he fake pump either. There are going to be a couple of SEC defenses that are going to take one to the house if he keeps that shite up. Those are my two biggest complaints of JL but his positives outweigh the negatives such as his will to compete & his experience.

Either way LSU fans are going for a ride on the JLee express... I just hope it's not the pain train.
