When would warrants be issued if the players do not come in to the BRPD on their own: “At the conclusion of the investigation, which could be this week, could be a week from now or could be in two weeks. It may come to that.

Stone said BRPD Chief Donald White has been in contact with LSU and "he told me he would inform me when he knew the status on that."

“Charges have already been filed. Once we initiate the investigation and speak to the victims and they indicate they want us to pursue a complaint, charges are filed.”

“We would not be conducting this investigation if somebody didn’t want us to.”

“When we conclude our investigation, we will secure arrest warrants for those people that we determine are responsible, arrest them and then bring them in and place them in the parish prison. If the players never come in and talk to us, we will continue our investigation without talking to them

“If the evidence support the allegations, warrants will be issued for their arrests and we’ll arrest them whether they come to speak to us or not.”

People need to understand that right now the only account of the brawl has come from the people filing the charges.

Standard practice. Don't see why it takes 2 weeks

Yikes, we could be referring to this "incident" for a LONG TIME to come.

IMO this isn't good for the players. Theyve lost public opinion regardless.

quote:

So in their mind it wasn't enough to warrant an investigation, but since charges have been filed, the are investigating? Am I interpreting this right?

If the evidence presented by the media is correct there is PLENTY of evidence for obtaining arrest warrants for both simple battery (a misdemeanor) and aggravated battery (a felony).
If JJ kicked anyone (Marine or not) and is arrested for felony battery it seems impossible for Miles to keep him on the team.

TIFWIW- Law firm of a friend is handling the case for the plaintiffs. They feel the case is "airtight", which is not necessarily a surprise. They would not say which player was at risk of the most serious charges.
