Now you are speculating. The only players that we know where there: JJ, T-Bob, Landry, Downs, and Davenport.

None of those guys are considered leaders, except JJ.

Miles has spent a lot of time trying to build up JJs confidence and has touted him as THE leader of the team...and the starting QB is almost always considered the leader.

IMHO, there is no excuse for the team leader to be involved in any of this. Football is the ultimate team sport. If the team leader does not respect the rules (coaches), the team has major problems.

He will never be cleared of showing a total lack of leadership by breaking curfew. When the Sr. QB of a team that has very high expectations betrays his coach's trust, he earns the disdain of the fanbase.

They were wrong to be out that late and they were wrong for ever getting involved physically. That's not being disputed. I just don't think lives should be ruined because some punks ran their mouths and got their asses whipped. We use to just call that a night in Tigerland.

I sure thought Downs was one of the guys that was asked to show at the police station Monday morning with a potential charge.

I never said JJ did anything illegal. All I ever said was he was held up to be a leader by Les Miles. JJ used very poor judgement and a lack of leadership being involved in this situation so close to the start of the season. He broke team curfew for starters with the opening game right around the corner. Tell me also what good happens at 2AM? Poor leadership at a minimum. If anything else comes out of this we will see. This is a distraction this team didn't need. JJ brought this on himself and so did these other players involved.

Believe what you want about what happened. I will wait to reserve judgment until all the facts are in.

But there is one fact I do believe and that is the fact that these players along with the Sr starting fricking QB. Was in thier rooms for 1030 curfew and then knowing that they were violating team rules (Les' rules) left their rooms and went out drinking. I can care less what happened at the bar. The players should be benched for a quarter or a half just for violating cerfew. We have seen LSU players benched for less.

So who is jumping to conclusions now?

Why do you assume that the "victims" ran their mouths. What has been reported is that one of them honked his horn because the players were blocking the driveway...and they pulled him out and beat on him.

While we do not yet know if that is what happened, we don't know that your version is accurate either.

Why don't you comment on the curfew issue...which is irrefutable?

Who gives a shite if he is cleared? Can you not see he is the leader of this team and did nothing but help put them in this problem? Breaking curfew rules no less. Is this the guy you want leading your team?

Well, we still don't know exactly what happened so why are you shocked people are defending the players?

Because no one knows what happened. It's pretty stupid to vilify or defend when you have little evidence.

Talk about making shite up to fit your agenda. Dude, you have no clue what happened. Something DID happen, but without strong visual evidence it will be glossed over.

LSU complained, and the PD corrected their statement to add Johns, drop Downs' name

Which proves Miles pretty much knows the whole story at this point

I missed that. Thanks for the correction. That is good news...Downs will be an important player this season.

This whole idea of saying it was OK for JJ to openly defy curfew because other leaders were to is ridiculous. Childish excuse making. JJ and all these guys were responsible for their own behaviors individually. Something JJ needs to understand and so do all of these kids involved is they are not bigger than the LSU program. This program will be here long after they are gone. They should be punished fairly for missing curfew and openly defying their head coach. If anything illegal was done they should receive further consequences commensurate with their involvement.

And supposedly Shady's employees are saying there were at least 50 players were there including Ryan Baker, Mett, Sam Montgomery, Shep. Miles would gave to throw out a skeleton crew if had to suspend all that broke curfew.
