The burger menu doesn't look very creative/original

I have been and it is hands down the best burger in baton rouge. The homecut fries are awesome and the onion straws are perfect. Move over five guys and goodbye to all the BR classics. Fat Cow is THE burger place in Baton Rouge!

Went last night with a couple friends.

I had the smoke stack burger with the duck fat fries. I was expecting great things, and I was greatly disappointed. The burger seemed like it was the pre packaged meat patty you can get in the frozen foods section. It lacked good flavor. I liked the chibatta bun and toppins, but the burger itself did not meet expectations. The fries were nothing special either. They were very soggy and just didn't really accomplish anything with the whole duck fat and parmesean or whatever. I'll just get the regular fries if I go back. I'd probably try it one more time but this trip didn't make me want to return all that quickly.

I like the set up and decor of the place. I think next time I'll give the salads a try.

that sux man ...
i thought they were pretty damn good

they cut the pattys with like a cookie cutter thing.. an you can get your fries dusted with feta cheese if you want
but yea, they dont really put a whole lot of seasonings in the meat, cause you really don't have to, if you have good meat to start with

i figured they used the cutters, it just makes sense to time wise. But seriously just tossing in a little salt, pepper, and worstechire would do wonders. I'll try it out again in a few weeks. I like the sound of the feta on the fries though.

Went at lunch last week, based on F&D referral. Duck fat fries were, IMO, not as good as the regular ones my buddies got, which were pretty damn good. Burgers were terrific, and the lunch combo (burger, fries and drink for like $8.25) is a bargain. A touch slow, but the staff couldn't have been more pleasant. We will be back.

Burger was really good (Just went basic w/ Bacon & Cheddar)
Not a fan of the sweet bun or the tiny french fry portions.
Duck fat Fries were good just not worth the extra $

I wrote this mini-review on the last thread like this. Went last week and got the Hundred Dollar Burger. I was very, very disappointed. The foie gras pieces were so small, they had little to no influence on the burger's overall flavor or texture. I was expecting a larger slice of foie gras heated on the griddle (similar to Nosh in Portland.) The burger itself was overcooked (I asked for medium. The burger is bare of veggies, which would be fine if all of the other components worked together, but it just feels like eating a bare burger.

I also took a bite of my wife's 120 burger. It was good, but nothing mind-blowing. If I went back, I would get that.

The duck fat fries had no duck fat on them. They were plain fries with parmasean cheese. The portion was very small for the price also.

The bacon cheese fries were a larger portion, but the fry-to-cheese ratio was too high. Also they burned the shite out of the bacon.

Overall, I would say that this place has "good" burgers, but the Hundred Dollar burger is a gimick and not really a quality food item.

I'll stick with Curbside.
